constraints
We see them as negative, but that’s not always the case.
We always wish we had unlimited options, but the truth is that « unlimited » anything can be scary.
Take this daily blog: even though I don’t always feel like doing it, the daily publishing deadline is actually useful (I do realize the irony of me writing this but not posting yesterday). Even if it ends up being bad or unoriginal or whatever. Because I know that without that (self-imposed) constraint, I would always find something more urgent to do than write, I wouldn’t learn the habit of writing daily, I wouldn’t publish as much and it would then take me much longer to get the same experience. Chances are, the best way to get better at doing something is to do more of it.
